Dollar Index Historical Data

For more than two decades, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's trade-weighted dollar index has served as a summary statistic for tracking and analyzing the foreign exchange movements of the U.S. dollar.

We offer two methods of viewing Dollar Index data: charts and spreadsheets.

Charts

The Dollar Index Historical Data Charts offers a variety of ways to view fluctuations in the dollar's trade-weighted value. You can specify the date ranges during which you see the dollar's trade-weighted activity against these subindexes. These charts can be saved as a PDF file.

Spreadsheets

The Dollar Index Historical Data Spreadsheets present data from 1973 to the present. These spreadsheets, which present current (1995–present) and classic (1973–98) data, can be saved as Excel files.
